Dinsdale Apiaries

My Dad started beekeeping when he was a young kid in the 1950s and I started helping him when I was small. About 12 years ago we decided to build up our numbers and try to run the bees commercially.

I run around 150 production colonies based in the Northallerton area (stretching up to the edge of the NY Moors) and aim to take a spring (OSR but also winter sown beans, hawthorn and sycamore) and where possible summer (bramble, willowherb, balsam) crop, and then migrate the hives to the NY moors and dales for the heather flowering in August.
