Nucleus Colony 2025 - Collection only

Our seasonal 5 frame nucleus colonies are headed by prolific, marked Buckfast queens (marked blue for 2025). 
 
These nucs conform to the standard used within our own operation, possessing the qualities of high productivity,* gentleness, and low maintenance.
 
Our queens are locally adapted to Northern conditions, ensuring optimal overwintering behaviour and foraging flights in cool, overcast weather.

The price is £200, including £80 deposit. The remaining £120 is payable upon collection. 
 
Please note that these nucs are for collection only on the selected dates. Poor conditions may result in an allowance of 1 to 2 weeks before collection, and this will be communicated in advance.

* On average, our second-year colonies produce in excess of 40kg honey in a season (performance data from 2021-24).
